999.5

First time out testing the CTX after repairs. Testing went pretty good, 4 ring day and good clad count. After getting back to the car I saw the markings inside the one ring and wasn't sure what to make of it. Can't see how you can make a white gold ring and have it marked 999.5...... So when I got home and got no where with any research, I did a specific gravity test, the ring comes in at the Platinum range for specific gravity. I was hoping someone that may be overseas and has more experience with Asian jewelry markings could spread some light on the markings....

Wahoo!

Ive seen thousands of hallmarks snd have never seen anything like it. I would have ot checked with acid or electronic tester.

Dude!

999.5 is easy...that's PURE PLATINUM...the highest grade.
(Google is your friend.)

Congrats!
