A casual, fun afternoon............

[size=medium]Chores were done and I decided to visit the site where a school once stood, but now converted to a commercial business. Perfect weather with the temperature in the lower 60's, a thermos of coffee and I was ready to go. I drove the pickup truck around to the back of the building, did a quick survey and decided to hunt around an old Live Oak tree at the back of the property. As I swung the Eclipse 5.3 coil under that old tree, I day dreamed about what it must have been like for those children playing under this old tree...what were their dreams, where might they be now in life. Time flew by like it always does when you are having a great time. It was a good day, found some silver, old war nickel, one of those steel pennies, and my favorite was an old 1965 token. none of that up here for sure!!

Nice pictures Fred. Gives me the urge

Hi Fred,

I envy you this time of year, but not in the summer.

18F this AM with a slight northerly breeze after the gusts and snow we have suffered for several days!!

I bundled up and did a little beach combing and when I found anything I had to kick it out of the ice!!

Send us some of your warmer weather Friend?

Regards,

CJ

you guys are lucky cause the ground doesn't freeze, some would need a snow shovel and a jackhammer at this time of year:biggrin:

Can't think of a better way to spend and afternoon then detecting and finding some nice items. No ground hunting in these parts
right now so we survive the winter thru you hunters in warmer climates.

You did a great job on those pictures also.

I like hunting under the old big tree's up this way. If I can find where a swing might of been off a big limb, even better.

Thanks for post.
