A few finds with the T2se DST in an aluminum infested site

Nice recoveries 2 much trash.. did you hit all the aluminum trash too. Or were you able to pick the good from the bad ??
What kind of average depth are you getting on coin size targets ..??????

Nice stuff Bill! How's that sharpshooter coil working out? Been thinking of getting one myself. Any difference depthwise compared to the stock coil? Heard some good things on the coil. Good luck hunting (as if you need it!). Congrats, Robert

Thanks Elton. Yes I did dig a boat load of aluminum. Most of it read in the 50's but a lot of it read in the 60's & 70's also. Relic hunting it's hard not to dig those numbers especially if the tone is good. But I'll tell ya, I did a lot of cussing on a lot of holes, lol. Along with what I posted were about a half dozen memorial cents which I would say 6 to 8 inches down and good solid hits. I have no doubt the machine would have picked them up deeper than that. Some targets I found were every bit of 12 inches,

Robert my man, I think you ought to get a sharpshooter. It's every bit as deep as the stock coil, has a cleaner sharper response on targets, separates better, and has an awesome feel and balance. True it doesn't cover quite as much ground but you don't notice or worry about that once you start using it. It's a clean, deep, sharpe as a knife coil. I'm thinking about getting another one for back up. Good luck hunting to you too pal. You and I both know good luck is at least half the battle.

The SharpShooter coil on the T2 is in my opinion far superior to the stock coil, had mine about 18 months and have never regretted getting it,it pinpoints very well, much more sensitive and i am almost certain the depth could well be the same as the stock coil and gives that all important better signal response.

One thing i also like is the fact that its mid mounted rod connected rather than rear of the coil,it may seem like a small thing but it makes a massive differance to the balance of the machine for the better i will add.If i was to gripe about something on this coil and it is ultra petty is the el-cheapo glue on the label, but saying that i took my labels off within 10 minutes of taking the coil out the box, looks better without the labels anyway.

Nice going on the finds. I bet the T2SE DST is a humdinger with the Sharpshooter Coil. I really enjoyed using my T2SE, but I sold it to get a F75SE and I just got it upgraded with the DST. The T2SE + Sharpshooter Coil combination did well for me and I've always had second thoughts about selling it. Now with this DST upgrade I might be back in the market for one. It's just amazing how deep the T2SE will go using the Sharpshooter Coil. http://www.findmall.com/read.php?58,2010028,page=1
