A few good July 4th finds

Hit a park I've hunted before, in the past I never found any old coins, just some old buttons.
I believe this button is Civil War era Navy button.

Very nice old finds! We just don't get those Civil War items here on the West Coast. Congrats on the cool finds.

It's hard to see in this photo, but there is one cannonball visible, I can see all 3 with my jewelers loupe. Not sure how to clean this without making it worse

May try the slow boat, non-abrasive method-soaking in olive oil for days, weeks. Take out occasionally, clean with old toothbrush, repeat when necessary (apologies to Dave Edmunds-rocker)

Freeze/Thaw cycle is another good non abrasive way to do an initial clean. Congrats on a nice hunt.
