Got out this morning for a couple of hours and was lucky to snag a few more oldies before the season ends. First good find was the 1910-D Barber and 1923 Mercury dimes out of the same hole at about 8". They were surrounded by so much trash that I couldn't use pin point mode. Had to zero in strictly on the high pitch sound. About 10 feet away I got a decent signal I hoped would be an Indian head cent and sure enough, it was an 1896. In the same hole as the Indian head cent was the 1905 V-nickel. About 15 minutes later and no more than 15 feet from where I dug the other 4 coins, I dug the bent 1944 Mercury dime. Also found an old school bus token, 3 wheat cents and the nice gold gilt Naval button. Was nice to get 3 silvers in one hunt, that doesn't happen too often these days. I'll hit the same spot tomorrow (going to be cold, about 30 degrees when I head out) but this might be the last week so have to get in all I can.
