Stomped around an old circus site, area is a few acres in size. Perfect Michigan weather and the turf is flat, allowing me to drag the coil over the ground. Hunting whispers here, dimes are now 8" deep on average. Virtually no trash left, and I've dug at least 25 silver coins dating back to 1872, about 10 Indians, and over 100 wheats, etc.... I don't know how these coins escaped previous detectors.
I also dug another indian at the site of a civilwar-era home, not much luck here previously and I dug a few zincolns that were deeper than this coin at 3". Lots of dirt moved around and drains placed, could have something to do with it....
