A first for me

I just got my new E-trac- I came up from a safari. As you all know there is a big learning curve with this machine. SO my first week out I'm trying to just use the minelab loaded programs like every one is saying to do on this forum. So with that I am digging most good targets and I m not doing too badly finding lots of pennies and clad./ I went out last Tuesday to spot I have been to before in a county park, but had not hunted very hard. I wasn't there 10 minutes and I got a signal that I'm sure I would have passed by using my Safari. It came in a bit high pitched but the TID was a 17 on the CO I honestly don't remember what it came in at on the Fe side. Well about 3 inches down was my first Gold ring with 17 Diamonds in it. It doesn't have any markings in it but I can tell it has been re sized and this may be why. I haven't had time to take it to a jeweler yet but will soon. Off to Canada for a one week fishing trip on Sat. Ill get it checked when I get back.

Awesome!!! Congratulations on an incredible find and what a way to break in that machine. Hope it checks out OK. Might want to take the E-Trac along with you on that fishing trip.
