I had to make a choice: buy the 10x14DD excellertator coil for my Ace 250
or get the Pro-pointer. I opted for the pro-pointer. It just arrived today and I have to tell

Like I have said before. I won't hunt without it now, and for many years I hunted with no PP. Garrett Rocks!:garrett:
 
One of the best accessories for metal detecting. A small price to pay for one of those nice to have useful things. I started with a cheap unit, saw the benefit and ended up with more than what I need. For those targets that are dirt/mud covered, it can speed up recovery. I haven't tried the Harbor Freight unit - I don't want to.

Nice finds. Hey a whole bunch of folks on the White and Vision forum use the Pro-Pointer instead of White's pointer. That should tell you something. :)

Yeah man, I've used several different pinpointers over the years. I waited years for Garrett to come out with one and when they did.......WOW! :bouncy: It is awesome! I almost feel like I'm spoiled or like I'm cheating when I use it, but man it's fun!:biggrin: I'm glad to see that you finally got one. Congrats!:beers: Happy Hunting!:)
 
I recently had to make the same choice and i went for the coil. I have been able to find many more older deeper coins that i wasn't able to reach before. Pinpointing is half the battle, you have to be able to find the coin first then pin point it second. just my opinion but i love my new 10 x 14 dd coil.

The people who say the Harbor Freight Cen Tech is plenty good enough have invariably never used the ProPointer.
