A little 1/2 hour hunt and a walk through the trees

Had a short hunt this afternoon, walking through some shady area's and under one tree hit a dime/penny signal at about 4 inches.

Popped the sod over, and voila!

My first ring for 2011, I still love this V3.. it feels like I have an underground flashlight, that reveals all of those hidden goodies. (well at least one or two now and then)

HiPro, RX 6, 5 hz filter DD 10 inch coil (my underground flashlight settings) - This V3 sometimes feels like you've just been imbued with superman like powers.

Outstanding find.I love jewelry finds. You make me work harder, lol.Bill

Thanks Bill, I like silver in any form.. coins or jewelry.. but it's way cool to find it. I've had a few happy dances the last few times I've been out and it reminds me why I enjoy the hobby so much :)

That is a nice chunk of silver.

Great find, no expert but it looks pre 19th century. Joe P.

Although it's possible, I'm guessing it's one of those common silver rings you can get at fairs, and craft shows.
But it's SILVER..woo hooo!! thanks for the comment :)

(I did find a .925 mark on the inside too so definitely sterling) :detecting:
