A little sports field silver.

Hit a school sports field last night for about 45 minutes before the next rain shower sent me scurrying for the car. Besides a few pieces of clad, also got a AKA 925 silver medal with a small piece of chain. After some iris society work early this morning, hit the sports field again and low and behold, tabman was out on the field swinging and digging away. HUMMMM. Anyway, I hunted for a couple of hours and wasn't digging much besides a little clad and a few zincers and memorial cents. Touched base with tabman and started swinging off in the direction of my vehicle. By that time I was soaking wet and hadn't brought any water with me. I hit a spot that gave up 2 quarters in the same hole and then got a high tone solid 84 reading on the Omega and dug the sterling ring. That was my last target. tabman, however, was still swinging away. Between the two hunts, I got 10 quarters, 14 dimes, 7 nickels and 11 zinc and Memorial cents, besides the curios and 2 silver pieces. On the way home I heard on the radio it was 98, on its way to 103. Toooo hot guys. HH jim tn

Nice ring and tag! What was the ring's ID number?

Jim you should have said something about not having any water. I had ice chest full of ice cold water and plenty of Gatorade to go around.

I just can't believe you went out in this heat without any water.

I ended up today with 80 coins - 13 quarters, 18 dimes, 29 nickels, 20 pennies, no silver though.

My Omega will be here Tuesday.:detecting:

Terra, I'm thinking the medal is? American Kennel Association. There is a Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, but web site symbol is different then the medal. There is also the American Kiteflying Assoc., American Killfish Assoc, and some other AKA's.??? The ring is a decent chunk. tabman, I wasn't sure if I was even going to get any swinging in. That is the reason for no water. Although you didn't say it, it was DUMB of me. You had a bunch of digging. 29 nickels??? Wow! HH jim tn
