A pulltab trick. I keep forgetting that most of you guys haven't been doing this for 44 years and forget to mention these little tricks. This one knoc

I played around with the 1500 some more tonight, mostly with a 10c piece and 2 pull tabs. One has sharp corners while the other has rounded ends. These are our most common pull tabs. (BTW, I assume that you are referring to the square tabs and not the beaver tails.) Raising the coil an inch will allow the 10c piece to give a short beep after a second or two. The sharp cornered pull tab gives no further signal, while the round ended pull tab will actually give a short bell tone for the second beep. Unfortunately no machine gun sounds here.
It will be worth playing around some more just to see what happens.
Thanks.
Mick Evans.

The new tabs don't help the hobby with all the difference's, but sure are pretty to look at the quality anodized finish look. Some may look alike until a second look may reveal some minor difference.

With the variety of colours you have there, they're almost worth recovering, they look so attractive.:poke: Wow! We've only got the plain ones over here.
