A question for Dave J. DST related F-75 LTD Units

Dave there seems to be some confusion on 9.0 and 9.1 settings.. Which is DST on..9.0 or 9.1 ???

I know others may know the answer, or at least think they do. " That said ". I would like to hear from Dave J. the official answer.

No offense intended against anyone.. there are just so many seasoned hunters who are knowledgeable, and they elude their not sure..

While we wait on Dave J. here is what the manual says.

.. so if factory settings is 9.0 it's on..if you change to 9.1 it is off...Yet it retains off unless you reset machine, or return to 9.0 RIGHT ??????

So the user has to decide at start up which you want DST or no DST... If you do a factory reset only does it return to 9.0 default for a clean start till you manually change the number to 91 ???

When you do a factory reset it keeps the DST setting that you had selected, it does not change back to the one that was selected the first time you turned the machine on.

You are correct the manual says 9.0 is on, and 9.1 is off. Almost everybody thinks the manual is wrong.

Can you enlighten us please?????????????

Sorry, DST wasn't my project, haven't used one myself, so I have no official answer.

I'm flattered that so many people assume that I know everything that happens with Fisher-Teknetics-BH, but actually we have a whole team of engineers working here on projects, many of them with very little involvement on my part. I'm primarily occupied with developing new technology that isn't revisions of existing platforms.

I've had the F75 DST since March. I noticed that the T2 manual also refers to 9.0 as being DST. It's unlikely to be a typo in both manuals. Dave's answer seems to be a way of asking people to figure it out for themselves, he can't answer all queries.

I traded in an E-Trac to Backwoods Detectors and I've no reason to regret the trade. I look forward to well in the rainy season when the ground is saturated, and using the CL mode for deep coins. Right now the ground is dry and hard, and using the 5" DD for shallow coins in trashy areas is the best choice.

Who might we be able to contact That does have the " Official" answer...............

Why not, the technical writter probably copied and pasted one description from one machine to the other.

People who've tested 9.0/9.1 know which is which......it seems that FT is stuck on the answer in the manual, right or wrong.....

I was hunting tonight and had EMI on 9.0 when I turned it on. Frequency change did not help.
Switched to 9.1 and it was gone.

Per Tom Dankowski's June 7 2015 write up on the F75, after hundreds of hours of use, he concluded 9.0 provided 85% EMI reduction and 9.1 provided a bit more. And no, I wasn't there to observe.

Would have thought that Dave J could have talked to someone at FT but guess I am wrong.
But Why?
