Well, I got permission to MD at a race track, a very big
Auto race track not far from me. During the season, there ar 40 to 45
thousand people there, most parking their cars and campers on the grass
for the weekend.
I was in luck yesterday when I drove through the gates and asked this fellow
about MDing on the grass where the cars/campers park for the weekend.
The guy owns an old Classic Whites detector but hasn't had anytime to do
any MDing himself. He was sympathetic to MDers and had no problem with
my MDing there.
I walked out of there today with $14.46 ikn clad and a lot of junk including
a simi-crused car.
He cued me in to where an old house used to be on the property; only the foundations remain.
Thats another project I'll do later
He then told me that a woman lost a $3000 dollar ring there a year ago.
Whether anyone ever found it or not he doesn't know. I may have got crushed
by one of the mowers or someone found it and didn't tell. She had been sitting in some temporary
bleachers when she dropped it to the ground below. He pointed the area out and said
I was welcome to see if I would find it.
I'll do that project tomorrow. Even if I don't find it I know I'll find a lot of clad like I did today.
The great thing about this is he's work at the track for 15 years and I'm the first to MD there.
I guess this is true because I sure walked away with a lot of gas money.
I may switch off with my new detector, first useing the Ace and then
seeing how the Vaquero works out.
