A review of 2023

In 2023 I found several pieces of 925 jewelry, a few were marked Sterling. I am still in a gold drought, no gold for 2022 or 2023, I hope to change that this year. Only one silver coin, ‘47 Rosie, a 1906 V nickel. One Ike dollar, five dollar coins ( 4 sacajawea ) three clad halves. A pair of brass oarlocks, some tungsten and stainless items. I did OK on the clad coins, about what I’ve averaged for the last few years and of course lots of trash.
2024 is starting out kind of slow, weather being the main factor. I did find my first silver for the year, a 925 ring that weighs .88 grams. Yep, it’s a small one.
I used three detectors in 2023, the Fisher F70, the AT Pro, and the Nokta Legend. Good luck to all in 2024!

2 silver coins for me last year.
You did really well, congrats.

I'm telling you, that silver is getting tough to find, last year for the whole year I got 3 silver coins.
Nice variety on your finds.
Thanks sl52, yes it’s getting tough to find silver coins. I am thinking I might have to seek out some private permissions and find some curb strips that haven’t been hunted to death. The public sites it is very tough to find anything anymore, maybe my Legend can find a few after I get to know it better.

Really nice finds.
Which machine did best on the silver and on gold ?
Thanks Odanscoils, I haven’t found any gold with any machine for a couple of years now, so can’t answer that. I guess I could do some air tests with the three machines to see how they do with gold jewelry, maybe I’ll do that. The F70 and the AT Pro are both good on the silver and gold. As I get more time with the Legend, I think it will be the best of the three. It should be better than the other two, its newer technology, right?

Not bad man!!! Glad to hear your still rocking the F75. Ground is still frozen here. I to run an AT pro. Your gonna find gold this year!!!.. hhricknmi

Thanks rick, the F70 is too much fun to stop using it completely. Same with the At Pro. I’m having fun with the Legend too. Sometimes I wonder which one will help me find the gold again, it’s been too long. It’s out there somewhere, just need to be persistent. GL & HH buddy!

Oops. Brain fade on your F70. It sucks getting old lol... hhricknmi
