On Saturday 2 5 11 I went hunting with Tnvarmint .He was trying out his new Etrac so we hit a few spots I was familiar with. The temps was in the 40s and the winds were very gusty . The first place we went was a old community park and we both were finding plenty of goodies .Tnvarmint with his new Etrac was rolling coins out left and right and scored some wheaties , plenty of clad and his first silver ring . I got one silver 1953 roosie and bunches of clad .
We took a break in the afternoon and got a bite to eat and discuss our finds and decided to hunt the last hour and a half of day light .
After all anything worth doing is worth over doing -- right?!
Well we went to an old lot behind a old church and the lot had produced some good finds in the past but today it was only some small clad Oh well on to the next place .We decided to try the Masonic Lodge that was founded in the early 1800's and I am sure it had been hunted in the past but it still produced some really good finds . Tnvarmint was really lucky and scored a 1911 V nickel and more clad . I got another silver 1946 roosie , some odds and ends and some clad .
My total for the day was only $3.42 cents and two silver dimes and a day of good memories.
All in all it was a great day spent with a good friend and one of those days you will remember for a long time .
