I had the pleasure of detecting an old Chicago park with an old freind of mine. He is now president of a NW Indiana Detecting club.....All of which I seen were whites users....In fact he made the best find of the day.....But..............Two of us E-Trac users made an excellent showing.........And I won a Drawing for a half Dollar....
If you Click on the lower right (You Tube) Icon.............It will open up another page, and you can click on the lower right (Full Screen Mode).........I just found out about this myself.........Much better than watching the little box here on this post, AND...Something else I just found out...........Just close the You Tube page when you're done........and you're back to the Forum...........Man....I am Computer Illiterate.LOL

Nice video McNickle...thanks for posting it up!
Takes me back to my own club days in Pittsburgh, when we hunted North and Schenley Parks!

Hey, out of curiosity, two questions: the video quality was so good I have to ask what model cam and model number have you got?
Lastly, I worked a summer in Chicago ( ' 83) around the Orland Park / Trumbull area...never did detect there though!

Good Hunting

Hello Des Dunne,
I am glad you enjoyed the video, tho I apologize about my shaky hands..For some reason I just could not hold the camera steady.
To answer your questions. We have never got a chance to hunt Orland Park, and Trumbull park was so trashy,we hunted it for 5 hours with no result but some very deep recent coinage. We were hunting Washington Park by the ball fields. That area has been well pounded by every detector around, but there are still a few goodies there.
I was using 2 cameras. The video of my finds at the end was taken with a 'Kodak Zi8'. The Zi8 footage was taken in 1080P HD mode, and I switched to the Macro after a few seconds to show the coins..The Zi8 will take good mid-range (6"-7") Macro.
Most of the Video was taken with a Kodak Zi6. In 720P HD,at 30 fps...It takes great up close Macro shots @ 2"........The only draw back with either camera ,is
they have a narrow field of view. The Zi6 can be purchased for about $90 U.S.....The Zi8 can be had for $120- $180 U.S.
Hope that helped

especially the 705, has helped me out alot, many thank you's for sharing your knowledge. Good hunting. John
