A word of Advise for New CTX3030 owners

I received my CTX3030 today. I charged the battery, when it was finished I assembled the detector and turned it on. Total disappointment, The screen had a terrible rainbow effect. I ran my finger over the screen to see if it had a protective film and could not feel one. I tried to look beyond it but it was overpowering.

Now the fun begins, good luck and HH.

I was sure I would have to send it back. I was going to call my dealer after the holiday. I would have looked pretty foolish if I had sent it back.

Going to have to try that too as I normally leave it on for a while. With back light on mine looks OK, but when the back light is off it is very hard to see the screen, so I will have to take mine off and see maybe it will be fine too. was going to try to find a contrast setting and see if I could change it, but your tip may just be the answer.
Thanks for the tip.
