After work silver

Got in a quick hunt for about two hours after work before the rain started.Ive been hitting the same park and have been getting away with running my sensitivities pretty high.It started out with some late 60s clad, the deep kind that gets your hopes up.Then a couple deep, slightly higher VDIs sounded off about 15 yds apart.I dug what I thought for sure to be a wheat penny close to ten inches and after a little cleaning was amazed to find it was a memorial.I havent got the front side cleaned yet to see the date, but couldnt believe it was that deep.

Nice looking silver--congratulations! It always amazes me how some "more current" coins can get that deep. Just something you typically don't expect to find at a depth like that. Thanks for sharing the pictures and story.

When you think about it, some memorials are over 50 years old, but still 10 inches deep? Been there, done that. Congrats on the silver......

Nice silver! I know just what you mean about the deep clad! I pulled a merc out at about 4 inches once and no more than 5 feet away, I got a great quarter hit at 9 inches. It ended up being a clad quarter. Makes you wonder if the ground had been disturbed or something.

If you are getting dimes that deep you have the V zeroed in. Congratulations. Rob

Nice coins! Just wondering, as your in western S. Dakota, have you been to Sundance, WY. I was in Sundance recently and looked at the old school. The city is tyring to decide weather or not to tear it down. I hadn't time to detect it but it looks like it could be a productive spot.

I havent been there yet Scortch, but would like to make a stop there before the weather goes south.I heard they were debating whether or not to tear it down.

silver is always good nice finds
