Agape at Agates

Went out for a rockhounding and camping trip in the Mojave with my wife and child looking for agates in a well-known location near Route 66. We found some really nice ones for our first time at the location and can’t wait to start working them up into cabochons for some jewelry making. Can’t wait to go back and spend some more time there, it was truly a wonderful weekend - and totally off grid with no complaints about it the entire time from the teenager in the back seat!! No way, Starlink!!

Also came across this memorial on our way home, looks like the Clampers have been busy, but I appreciate what they are doing to memorialize people that made true sacrifices for our country.
