Air test results.. from a power on reset

figured a reset by holding the power on button would be the best to compare with..

Using a quarter and outside away from interference.. detector on a pair of logs to get it off the ground, a table would do but I dont have one outside.. quarter waved in front of pro coil

as reset by machine.. auto sens.. which was reading 16

about 6 inches before I lost tone in auto

switched to manual which was factory set to 22 from reset

I could get quarter out to about a foot

so I seem to do pretty good in air tests as compared to others, but not sure what your settings were

I can pick up the quarter at man sens 24 out to about 14-15 inches with the SE

I know that is 2 sens levels higher than etrac, but etrac tops out at 30 where the explorer tops out at 32
so should be a close percentage of top powerwise

I retested jut like you did after a power reset and got the same results. I tried it on a chair and on the ground with the same results. so I guess it's reading OK.my earlier test definitely cut out at 5"&6" I must have had something scrambled in the program probably operator error , that's what my wife said
