i was detecting a house that had been hunted before.I did not know it had been hunted before until the lady came out and talked to me . She said two people had hunted it years ago. If I had of known that I would have used my 6inch coil. I will the next time I hunt it. Had not dug any coins in about an hour. I was beginning to think they were all gone. Then I got a 42 , 40 so I dug , out popped a 1909 wheat . I got a little excited , when I got home and cleaned it ther was no s . That is the second 1909 wheat I have found this year.

I know the feeling... Hunted a ghost town last month and got a 1914 wheat cent. Was hoping for the "D" all the way home. Of course, when I cleaned it, there was no mintmark.:ranting: On the positive side, if you have found two 1909 coins, you are getting into some good areas. Get that "s" next time and add the VDB while you are at it!
