I went out for 4 hours today. It says 50

Bottom line is you got out and hunted and managed to find something, and the wind chill is not fun to hunt in when it's blowing. There's an old saying King, "Close but no Cigar" it only counts in Horseshoes and Hand grenades. Like you said there is always tomorrow. Good Luck on your first Silver John

silver poppin' out soon. Like John said...you were swingin' the coil...had a good time...and found some coins. That's what it's all about.

Keep on huntin, but in the mean time, clad adds up quick!!!

I'll sell you a silver merc for dolla! :wiggle: or trade for a Boy scout badge......:smoke:

I actually have a 1937 Merc but I didn't get it from MD.

I was just jiving you....I got you mixed up with treasurefiend anyways....I think he is the one with the boyscout badges........ I have never found one of those.

I bet I would find one. There is an old Boy Scout camp near my hometown. It is true that there is more places to hunt then you'll ever have time for. i read that in one of my MD books. It is so true!

Today was a little bit colder. I was out for about 5

I forgot to say that he token=like object is round. It reminds me of some kind of slave tag of some sort?

Here's the weird token like object I found near the base of a 1877 monument in my state park. It has 9L SOFT on on side and it seems to have a letter J on the other side??

It feels like the weight of a quarter?

everything open except nails with conduct sounds

I will thanks. Actually I liked using Fe tones better. I just wanted to get used to Conduct but now I am switching to this method. I am excited about trying it. I liked it while doing the beaches earlier this year.

Nice site, L read their tips and what they said about the nulling makes sense.

What about using Iron mask on 16 as well with this setup?

That was another thing I was fooling with near the end of my hunt Tuesday but then I figured I could be screwing myself if I had an iron object near a coin? I see on that site that they recommend setting it for 20 and then gradually just letting the machine back to 32 (AM) and letting your brain be the discriminator, makes sense to me.

I wasn't going to go today but now I am and I know where I am going. In the back section of an old park that had a decent amount of trash in it and I am going to see if I can pull out some goodies with this technique.

Duh! You answered my question. You told me to go AM = Iron Mask -->32

The person is right in my eyes but he made a type-O I think.

He said ferrous sounds can give false's also, but also said that they show up in extreem bottom right and said was from screw caps....those are not screw caps, but called crown caps, and they are not falses. I knew what he meant but newbies would get confused. Just an observation which I felt it needed to be corrected......

It started raining right on schedule so I couldn't get out and give it a shot. I pretty much in running in AM with just the nails X'ed out anyway so I am getting used to running with the flute orchestra and listening for the high scream of high conductivity. I'll accept nails to and switch to Fe tones and give it a whirl probably on Monday & Tuesday when I can kick it into high gear again and put it in some hours swinging like the reaper.
