almost the worst day of my life

I have been detecting this one area for 3 years and have found all kinds of old coins from large cents and barber dimes ,walking liberty quarters walking liberty half v nickles buffalo nickles wheat pennies indian head pennies mercury dimes and one silver braclet and today wile detecting the owner came up to me and told me that they have leased the property to someone else and the new managment did not want me out there detecting after 3 years of detecting at a place where you can almost find anything.this place has been there since 1792 and has probly 10 acres and have found old coins on the hole property but was not even close to covering all of the ground cant believe after 3 years of hunting here they just walk up and tell me youl have to find somewhere else to go i always coverd my holes and picked up all trash that i came across so nothing i did wrong this place was my best place to detect know im screwd THIS SUCKS
 
That really sucks... I hope they have a change of heart but doubt it...bummer...:thumbdown:
 
Make them an offer. Tell them that you would be willing to give them 20% of the finds. I have found that after offering landowners that they change their minds.

Most of the time, it comes down to ..."What is in it for me?"

Also, they might be concerned about being sued for anyone who may get injured on their properties. Let them know that you would sign a document that would release them from any responsibility.

Those darned lawyers are always causing troubles.
 
thanks everyone but i did talk to the new managment and i just dont understand he told me that as long as i had writin permision from the actual land owner that he did not care but what the weird thing is the lady that came up to me and told me that they leased the place was the owner and she told me i know we use to let you detect but the new managment would rather you not be out here doing that so after i talked to the new managment and found out i just needed writin permision i called the lady witch is the owner and told her whatb he had said and she said well i think the metal detecting will just have to stop so i dont understand what is going on thanks for all your concerns:shrug:
