Thank you Matthew Shaw!

“Hi guys ‘n’ girls. Today was that day...a good friend and I eagerly walked out onto our new permission! The first signal was coke, but I thought dig ‘em all and get a feel for the site. Within half an hour, the most beautiful, gold medieval iconographical finger ring lay at the bottom of a 7-8 inch deep hole. Centuries old, but looks like it’s never been worn. Any help on who it depicts would be appreciated. The Virgin Mary? St. Catherine? 1400-1600s? Hundreds of acres of pasture, but there it lay. It’s stunning and I’m very grateful. It’s what it’s all about....right?!

Now for the Treasure Act process.....will I....or won’t I get to keep....!”

truly amazing find...sweet!!!

That is one of the most amazing medieval rings I have ever seen. Absolutely fascinating! What a find.

Man, that’s a gorgeous piece of history!
Did you get to keep it?

Somebody, somewhere in another one forum asked - where are the finds with Vista GOLD GAIN ? What Ziggy missed to say is that this ring was found with Vista GOLD GAIN :)
As I know according the last information published from Matthew on his Facebook page - " it was declared treasure under the Treasure Act, just waiting for it to be valued ".
British Museum wishing to acquire :)
