An exciting DAY for me and Ray-Mo

The day started out with me and Ray meeting at a park,
The plan was to start there and hop around to some other places of interest.
Well, that ended when we started to find the good stuff,we stayed where we were and hunted hard
and it ended up being a day that are few and far between with finds that were fantastic.
We each know the other has found something when we see them coming towards the other with no detector and a smile on their face.
Ray found a Barber dime, i saw him coming my way so i knew he found something.
Then it was my turn, I got a signal about seven inches that rang as silver in trashy junk,
I was thinking a Dime. As it did come in at 46 on the conductive side.
I never dreamed it was what it was,An 1876s seated quarter,So here i go off to show Ray with a smile from ear to ear.
Later i am detecting and probably 35 yards from Ray,and i hear something,(Note) This is with my head phones on!
I look up and Ray is hollering and waving for me to come . I hear come here, and he is all smiles so i know it is something really good.
I hear him say Silver Dollar. I am floored as he was too!
Ray well deserved to find it, and i am glad it was him.
Days like that are what memories are made of and i congratulate you RAY on a Fantastic find.

I ended up finding a 1907 Indian, four wheats 1917,1919 and two i cant get a date from yet!
A 1924 merk and some clad, also a dollar bill that was an eye find laying in the leaves!

The quarter has some gunk stuck to it,so i will see if i can soak it and get it off.

Good hunting all!

great finds! if the gunk won't come off by soaking and I doubt it will, electolysis will will remove it. Works great on silver! I found a beautiful 1901 barber quarter in the field that was really black and had gunk on it and electolysis in 30 secon cycle x4 removed it all WITHOUT making the coin shiny or loosing the silvers patina

Nice Finds! and the 1876s seated quarter too boot!

Certainly a DAY neither one of you will forget. It means so much more when you experience with a friend! I want to give you a HUGE Congratulations on your finds, especially the seated quarter. That is just great!!!! Thanks for the great story and the pictures!!!!

At The request of Goes4Ever, Here is the quarter cleaned.
1 hour electrolosis with a 6 volt dc power adapter, water salt.
Very tough stuff on it!
Rubbed with a Q tip and very lightly with a wet pencil eraser.

You guys did the right thing by staying where you were pulling silver. Too many jump around from place to place and find nothing.
