An interesting first.

Haven't posted a hunt in some time. Nothing but lots of clad.....not that there's anything wrong with that.

Went out between raindrops to a close site. Had a choice. Good clad site vs. and OK silver site. The silver site is a lot of steps between digs but I opted for it. Got 4 wheats and no silver. As the sun set, I decided to find 10 more coins and head home. Total darkness as I found number 5. The caretaker of this site is very strict and I'm sure that if he saw me night hunting he would call the cops even though I'm friends with his son. I carried on anyway. I got to coin number 8 and got a nice deep quarter signal. It was the sterling St. Mary medal. 6 grams. Still two coins to go. Next signal was a nice deep half dollar signal. Size C. A silver half? Nope, a second religious medal. Two silver medals in a row is the first. This one is my favorite ever medal. St. Christopher on one side, St Mary on the other. Nice high relief, very good quality. Heavy too. 11.9 grams, sterling. Next signal was a deep clad quarter and I quit 1 short of my mini goal of 10.

Same old paper towel if you care. I was thinking about a wider shot to fully show it off.
