Well, its two hunts in a row for finding big rings and neither being gold or silver. Although, the one this morning was a pretty neat find. I went out to the old Military housing site this morning. Although pickings have gotten slim there, once in a while with slow and careful sniffing a silver still crops up. The 1945 Filipinas Ten Centavos was one of those should I dig, or not. It was a mix to tones and id numbers, but I would occasionally get a high tone chirp, so I decided to dig it. Besides the nickel and 2 Memorial cents shown with the Centavos, the hole yielded 2 more Memorial cents and another nickel. Just a few inches away I got another mixed tone hit and that turned out to be the USN ring. It does have some marking on the inside of which the last six letters are yadium. There are at least 3 other letters before those, but I just can't make them out even with my magnifier. Had the 10" DD coil on again this morning. HH jim tn
