Another new eTrac guy

Mine came yesterday and I've had about an hour to play with it. I had an Explorer II way back when and am mostly familiar with the T2 and F75 platform. So this is a totally new beast to me...seems pretty straight forward in the menus though...and very tweakable. Wasn't real impressed with factory programs in my test plot but scoured the forum for some programs and saw this TTF mode being popular. So I opened the whole disc box and put it in TTF mode. Seems to make it behave similar to the T2 in 2+ mode that I use a lot. Got a learning curve to get across but think it wont be bad.

Welcome from another new user. It seemed a little steep at first coming from a Garrett but now it's starting to click. It's a very capable machine for sure.

Have been hunting this particular home site the last few months. Have hit it hard with T2 and even did a video there with the AT Pro digging wheat cents. I have dug silver there and believe there is more but the T2 often lies on ID and the AT was limited the same way. The eTrac may fall victim to the dirt as well but so far so good with the TTF mode and most everything opened up. Let's go see what an eTrac newbie can do on a frosty TN mid day hunt.
