Another old button with my MXT?

Hey guys,

Went on another hunt at my cousins house with my PRO near where i found my civil war button and badge. I found a pocket watch that isn't in tact and I found what seems to be an old navy button. The only thing is i cannot figure out for the life of me when it's from. Found it at about 4-6 inches. The back is all rusted out and it's pretty light weight with some green corrosion. I looked it up on the internet but couldn't find the exact one. I seen very similar ones but mine has stars around the edge and the rope on the anchor is going towards the left side rather than the right. Also mine has lines in the backround. My uncle says it's civil war....but i'm not so sure because i looked up civil war buttons and couldn't find it. So, does anyone know when this is from and exactly what it is? If so, let me know especially if there are any websites with pictures. Thank you! :please:

Location where i found the button, where the stick is in the ground.

Earlier, I tried to help ID a similar(nearly identical, down to having 24 stars) button here so there is some good info on your button on this thread......

I hope it gets you closer, I remember doing alot of digging for the last one like this but no positive ID. The 24 stars pretty pretty much rule out confederate and the design was used after the civil war except 24 stars do not represent states after about 1836 so there is some conflict with the numbers.

Thanks Aarong,

It does look similar but like you said, not exact.....there are lines going diagonally and the ends of the anchor on the button in the first picture are fat compared to mine. Not a positive ID....but it's alot more info than i had before.
