Another stinking 100 degree plus day. Supposed to start cooling off finally. I've almost forgotten how to use my detector...

Went out and got into my other van which was facing the sun and the steering wheel was so hot it burnt my hands. REminded me of Phoenix where everything you touched burned you. Sure be glad when this crap goes away. I'm getting cabin fever.

I'll send you some of cool summer weather and constance rain showers to cool thing off
Feels like we got your westcoast weather this summer

Tip of the week # 2: Don''t try using an umbrella while detecting. It actually gets HOTTER underneath the thing!

Sounds like you wish you were over here. We the the same temps in summer. as we speaker, my wife has taken my youngest son down to the snow fields. My oldest had to work, so he and I missed out. This is the first time my youngest has seen a full cover of snow. We thought that it would only take 6.5 hours to drive there, but my wife said it took her 9.5 hours. And she's still in New South Wales!
Just think. In 4 months time you'll be snowed in wishing it was summer again.:poke:

I'm still laughing at that remark, Bill. When you forget how to swing a detector, I'm gonna hang mine up for good.

Hope you get out soon!

Chris

Its only going to be in the high 90's around Redding today. (except where it's hotter)
Was going to break out the Ace 250 this weekend but I think I will stay in the shade. C'mon Autumn

Well I got out this afternoon late. It was still in the high nineties but with a slight breeze which made it bearable and there were some shade trees right next to the tot lot. The heat probably kept other beeper swingers away. The place was deserted when I was there. Supposed to start cooling off back to normal so I'll be out with a vengeance.

It doesn't but this has been a bitch of a summer. Course the weather is scewed up all over. Seatle has set several records this year. Was talking to a guy that lives there and he has never had an AC in his condo until this year. Have a friend outside of town here who has never had an AC for the 40 years she has lived here until this summer. Me, I've always had one. I'm warm blooded and when it gets over 70 it's too hot for me. HA.

Ain't that the truth. We had a bitch of a winter last time. Hope we don't get another like it. We usually only have tons of rain here in the winter. Global Warming is working. HA.

One thing I've never owned but a lot here do as we get a ton of rain in the winter. But I'm like a duck so it doesn't bother me. HA.
