Another three silver day

Larry (IL)

Well-known member
For the second day in a row. We went back to the same yard that is still producing. One of the silvers is a ring, but that is OK with me, it's a pretty Jade in silver with small pyrite stones set around the edge. The smashed part that goes around the finger came off when I was cleaning it. The first Barber found yesterday is an 1893 in G-4 condition, but the second Barber is a 1902-S in VG-8, a Redbook price of $20. Three more wheats, a couple buttons, some cars and clad made for a great couple of hours of hunting.

I am really starting to like the XS. It was too noisy for me at first in Cond, but now I have it in ferrous mode, smart screen, with Iron mask at 16, and learning to slow down the swing. I have had to play with the audio adjustments to get a pleasing sound that I can live with that is now close to what I was used to on the DFX. The XS is a keeper.

Sorry about the fuzzy picture, I'm going have to start using a tripod I guess.

nice job larry, good to see the xs pulling out the goods, stay with it :clapping:
