Another WhatZit from the woods

Dug this up a few feet from where i dug up the muzzle loader trigger guard and other gun pieces
having a little trouble ID`ing this one. it looks like it could be a part of the gun , but insure.
it is brass, about 3 inches long.
 
I have seen this before, I hate to say it but it was on "diggers", it was a piece of accrouotement from a British Uniform.
 
its called a "frog" attached to a belt for a bayonette to hook to , probably civil war or earlier. nice find
 
It's already ID'd so I'll just add some source and images to compare. I'm not sure what model it is from but it is very similar to the 1750's to 1800, Charleville, or Brown Bess bayonette frog hook.
