Any actors, famous names here, or seen out there detecting?

I belong to different hobby sites and there are some famous names that frequent these places. Hey, actors etc. have multi interests also. Any of you meet up with a well known personality detecting on their own? It was infered that Sylvester Stalone and possibly Angelina Jolie were anonymous members of a huge knife collecting site that I go to occasionaly. I know that anyone can say anything on the net, but when site mods/owners whisper about it, it seems a little more valid. I was just curious about this hobby.

I met Uma Thurman while detecting at a place where she walks her dogs. Her son followed me around for a while while she talked on the phone. There is a post back a while that describes my encounter that you could probably search for.

Chris

Your question could be interpreted two ways. Famous folks seen while they were detecting, or famous folks seen while you were detecting.

Uncle Willy is a celebrity in my book.

How many celebrities dig in the dirt and pick up trash? It take a special kind of person to do something like that.

Look, it's Paris Hilton on her knees digging in the dirt.

Just having fun with my imagination.

He loves metal detecting and goes out hunting often with his daughter. He even has a metal detector named after him.

John Quade used a Garrett and Boxcar Willie used a Whites in fact Quade starred with Clint Eastwood and featured a Garrett in one of their films

I wouldn't mind seeing her bent over..................... and detecting.

Hey I field tested the C-Scope years ago. Even had the owner of the company stop by and see me when he was over here from England on business. Forgot all about that.

Yeah I think Randall hunts about anything. Wonder what he was hunting when he fell off that mountain years ago and smashed his face to bits.. I knew his daddy way back when. There was a real tragedy, a talent like his dad wiped out at age 29 by dope at the height of his career. Randall's mother, Audrey Williams, hung that name, Hank Jr., on him and tried to turn him into a clone of his dad until Randall got a belly full of it and struck out on his own, and he has done a bang-up job ever since.

The fact that he (Bill Wyman) has a detector named after him, was the answer in a quiz show over hear only about a month or so ago.

Yall better run! I would, yikes!

 Yea, Garth Brooks and his wife were in the Whites detector store in Tulsa buying metal detectors. It seems they bought some land that supposedly had a civil war camp on it. Small world , huh. :cool:RDF

Wonder if the owners(creators of Garrett, Whites, ext.) have an account here????? That would be cool. Doubt they would say so if they did have an account here. They'd be swarmed by questions about upcoming models of detectors.:twodetecting:

We had the Sixty Minutes crew out at work today doing a story today, but that's about as close I get. I'm not sure what the story was about, but I think that the company owner may have been using them to push his own barrow. He does that from time to time.
Mick Evans.

Hank Williams Jr was at the Pre Blue & Gray Hunt last month doing some relic hunting with the folks who sponsored the event. He has been in the hobby since 1963, I think. I started in 1968, and I thought that I was an Old timer!. HH...Jesse.
