Any coins found below the 27th Line????

I'm getting real close to the 30 hr. mark on my E-Trac. I haven't spent a lot of time digging any 1 way signals. I do try and dig 2-way signals that I suspect are nail(s). At times I can get a decent sounding 12-46/47 sounding one way, then when I do the 90 it nulls out. I hit quickmask (I've got mine set for AM right now) and get the signal where it nulled out and it goes straight to 34/35-46. Has anyone found coins in a situation like that?

I'm really wanting to wait until I get the X-1 before attempting to learn what I was after. I think I will spend less time sifting through the soil.

I'll have to doublecheck, but I think my Fe line is on 26. I had a 23/43 - 25/46 target yesterday in an area that has produced well over the years. It had that deep coin audio twinkle to it but the cursor wanted to stay way down on the bottom of my quickmask. The meter was showing 6-7" deep. Being brand new to the E-Trac I decided to dig it and see what comes up. It was a Mercury Dime. Ahh, but there was still another target in the hole that was 23/30 - 25/35. A couple inches away and deeper, I found a brass clock gear about the size of a nickel with a rusty iron blob attached on the side facing up.

I only have about 5 or 6 hours on my E-trac and this is my first silver coin with it, so I was happy about that. The high 'ferrousness' threw me a bit, but I had an Explorer XS for nearly 10 years and am familiar with the deep coin sound. I thought it was a pretty good find that is very typical of the Minelabs. Over the last 10 years, a large portion of my older coins have been finds like this where there is iron with or immediately adjacent to a good target. If I was only digging 'for sure' signals, I would have missed a lot of good targets.
