Any news on a rain/dust cover for the V3 meter?

They may not be as pretty as what cx3 in describing but they get the job done.

It's not really the question of something being "pretty". Anything will "get the job done" but then what would be the point of getting a better detector, camera, car or cover in that instance? Spectra V3 is one tough but expensive detector and that's why it is important to protect it well. There is no comparison between the 15 Dollar one and Thesaurus cover, but the second one needs to be touched to be appreciated :)

Hmmm..................I completely understand you usually get what you pay for...........so how does the Thesauras cover protect better?

I'm in no way affiliated with the ebay seller selling covers. Just trying to throw out an option for a US seller with a reasonably priced cover with fast delivery.

I just got my covers from Thesaurus today, and I am extremely impressed. They are very solidly constructed, very high quality materials. I also got their find bag, and it is equally impressive.

I have Thesaurus covers on my Tejon and also their finds bag, and have just ordered covers for my V3..the quality is outstanding and would recommend them to anyone

I quit using covers on the screen of the V-3 after Jimmy Sierra told me he does no use any when he goes to England and from what he said they have monster rain storms---He said the screens are %100 water proof---D.W.

I'm with you on that one Ron. I have hunted in the rain many times and have not experienced any moisture in the pod or otherwise. Sorry to say the results were not the same on the Minelab SE Pro. Even in a light mist, moisture collected inside to the point I couldn't read the display and a raincoat is a must on the SE.

I never use the cover with the intent to protect from rain. I use them primarily for protection from scratches and wear to the buttons.
