ANYBODY NUGGET HUNTED USING E-TRAC

My Explorer XS is being replaced and I want a detector that I can use gold prospecting, relic and beach.

Has anyone ever used the E-Trac for gold prospecting or nugget hunting with success.

I've decided on the E-Trac or the X-Terra 705. Any help is appreciated.

good diggin randy

I havent found one with the etrac yet but some places I go every spring will probably produce one. I have tested some small nuggets with mine buried at 4 inches and it found them easy. I dont think the numbers came up in the 12 fe range though. Ill check again and see. Idigid

The etrac was designed as a coin/relic/jewelry machine, not for prospecting, which requires sensitivity squirelly enough to find birdshot sized targets. Two opposed goals of hunts/types.

Randy if you know your old XS, Etrac is the same just much more faster if you detect with discrimination. You can try Etrac for bigger nuggets and best use Tone 1, but small gold you will never get. Etrac is not for it. Interesting what happened with your XS? I am looking one for parts.
