I found this in a corn field along the Missouri River. It is silver, the same size as a quarter and has a reeded edge. With the ramdom markings, if it weren't for the reeded edge I'd swear that someone chopped up a coin and pressed it back together. It is probably my imagination, but I swear I can see the image of a lady gazing toward what would be 2:00 in the first picture. There are a few letters or numbers engraved about 20% of the way up from the bottom. There are a few other letters scattered throughout the surface, like those on regular coins. But as I said, they are scattered with no obvious wording. The smooth half-oval shape near the 9:00 edge appears to be similar to what is used for the date on the Standing quarter. But it is caused from a small bend in this thing. The random designs on both sides resemble stars, leaves, triangles etc. I suppose it could be an old quarter that someone was making into a love token of sorts. Anyone have a suggestion on what it might be or once was? Thanks in advance. HH Randy
I'll see if I can clean some of the dirt off and get a read on those letters and/or numbers. Thanks again for the input. HH Randy
