Anyone tried the new small coil yet?

Just curious since mine came in today. Has anyone tried it and, if so, how did you like it? Did the targets jump out at you or was the site pretty much worked over anyway? Any tips you have after using it? Thirty years of experience here so I can follow technical stuff like "it whupped butt" or "best thing since sliced bread," etc.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts.

It was good for me in trashy areas. Would have been much better as a DD coil. Maybe next one will be. You will be able to run the Sensitivity higher with it.
Nice to have for tight areas and trashy areas with a lot of non ferrous trash. Worth having but again I am hoping for a DD.

Have used mine for 3 hunts and it does good in the trash. So for I can get a dime at 8" with it. Very light all so. One thing the lower rod at where the coil is , it is a little to small and it pulled the ears of the coil in and makes the bolt turn in some what a U. So what I did is made a thin hard plastic washer and put it on one side. Will that stopped that works good know. But you will like it and it is fast , too.

Thanks guys. Wanting to try it out soon and figured somebody had already gotten it out in the field for a little bit of detecting. Thanks for the tip on the coil. Mine seems OK so far. Good snug fit. Have some iron sites I want to try out with this coil.

Mine is on order and when I get it you can bet I am going to test is big big time...

I was thinking it would be a DD as well. But, nonetheless, I think it should do super in trash simply due to its size. I'm giving it a whirl this weekend!

I'll give a report when we're back on Sunday morning. Meantime, anyone has any tips or suggestions just chime in.

A lot of this was found using the small coil . went out again today for 45 minutes to the area I had already hunted I used the small coil and found two more buttons one enfield bullet and 5 old coins. it is a great coil and fun to use. H.H. Charlie
