Finally!!! My first gold with the V3I walked about 4 miles of beach this morning then it got hot really HOT. Had a hard time getting back to my car but I had a SMILE on my face! 8.2 grams 14K 30 diamond chips not even ankle deep using the 950 eclipse it was dead low tide! I just turned the RX down to 7 remembering what Larry said about not being afraid to turn it down she was 6-7 inches deep. Pure Happiness!!! I can rest now that I got that out of the way!
 
I told you the 9.5 was the coil to use in the wet stuff. Super find. Don't forget to tune the Disc sensitivity for max performance.

Thanks Rob! I am not up to tuning anything yet it's so new still getting my feet wet I did take the RX down a few notches. I did realize today that the polar plot is really no different than looking at the Spectra graph if its straight on the spectra graph it will be straight on the Polar Plot. No? I have a lot to learn but I'm going to get there.
 
You are doing fine. You can take the fine tuning slow, when you understand why you are doing it.
 
Very nice find.
From what I have noticed the polar plot isn't exactly like the spectra graph (or is it just me). Sometimes I had a nice spectra graph and the polar plot showed some type of uniformity of the lines but weren't exactly straight. Now when you have straight lines in the polar plot than you have a nice spectra graph as well...
Anyhow it is just a matter of time before we both learn the particularity of this machine.
I personally love it and am learning each time a bit more on what it's trying to tell me. I know that in a bit of time I will be able to understand it's language like if it spoke to me.
I hope to find a ring as nice as yours sooner or later.

:clapping: Now that is a find worth bragging about.

Don't worry about learning to much to quickly, as long as you have stability, you have a very good beach detector. What Rob mentioned is turning the Discrimination sensitivity up a little at a time to give you some extra depth but depth is usually not much of a problem on the beach.

Many of us don't use the polar plot much, in fact I don't use it at all. All of the information I need to deside to dig or not is readable from the pinpoint screen but if you like the polar plot, it is there for you.
