Arm cuff strap...

I have only owned the Equinox for around 2 months now , but already the arm cuff strap has virtually become useless , the velcro has pulled apart and it wont stick , to be honest this thing not really good quality at all.
The other thing it really is too short by about 1 and a half inches. With a thick jacket on the strap is only gripping the velcro with about 2 inches of velcro at best... I tried a nokta makro strap off the gold racer / kruzer which is over an inch longer and looks stronger . Fits well and just a tad thicker..I hope no one minds me mentioning this tip for you guys...

I haven used mine since about 14 years on all my detectors I have had. They have been a pain to use. I just fold them into my cuff for padding and they have Bern their ever since.

The White's strap works great and only about $5.00.

I use the straps on all detectors where a strap is fitted to the arm cuff. The weight of the detector can be spread over the arm and hand this way. By not using the strap ALL of the load is moved to your hand.
Asking for trouble in the long term with many hours detecting if you don't use the strap in my opinion..
A budding velcro tester..
