arm cuff

Who makes the best replacement arm cuff for a Safari? I think it would be nice to have a full arm hole, I think it would work great.

I don't use the arm cuff strap at all. I took it off. As much as I dig, it just got in the way. Didn't really need it for balance. But...if I did use one I can see where a full arm cuff would be comfortable.
Best of luck with that...I am sure someone will chime in with some info for you soon.

My cuff broke a long time ago when I was on vacation.....what a frustrating time that was. I could not get one off the Internet or EBay and have it delivered to my beach site!!! so......necessity is the mother of invention and I went to a local hardware store and bought a 5"- 6" round 4"-5" long PVC pipe fitting. I think it was either a sewer pipe connection or R.V. sewer pipe fitting. Also, I got a hacksaw and took it back to campsite and sawed it in half (length ways) leaving a 1/2 piece of pipe big enough for my arm to fit into. I taped it to my metal detector shaft real good and enjoyed the rest of my vacation at the beach! It looked uglyyyyyyyy but it worked for me!
When I got home, I was in the same situation as yourself wondering what to replace it with. Plastic eventually breaks under the constant flexing so I opted to go with an all metal (aluminum) cuff (EBay) Just like Bunker, I don't use or need the strap that came with it..

Same here, never used it on any of my detectors.

I don't ever use the strap that came with it, cuz it's useless. I think I'll invent my own and make sure it's ugggggly, cuz ugggggly sounds cool.
