Armor car rolled over with only pennies?????

Had a bad day yesterday (hunt #15) so went to the penny park that I have taken out almost 700 pennies in one small area. Hunt #16 Compadre picked up some of the pennies left after 5 hunts there. My pin pointer was lost in some of the holes. The Compadre does get past 7" a lot of times. I picked up the Compadre because I figured it would get around 3-5" in the ground. That is the range I like to hunt in. It was a good hunt. Just look at the total trash of the hunt. Thanks for looking......Z

Wow the penny ratio is way off. Are those zinc pennies? Maybe someone did some cherry picking and left them for you.

KennyD I know it wasn't you because you would not have left me all that trash.:laugh:
Tabman lots of the pennies are copper. I can not figure it out? This is a volley ball court that hasn't been used in some years. Grass is taking over the sand. My hunting has only produced a few dimes, a couple of nickles and one quarter. The rest are pennies. They are from on top of the ground to 9" or more down. The Garrett pin pointer must be 9" long and some of holes it in all the way in. I only went to the park to dig some pennies to get the coin sound down so I could recognize the coin sound. 68 penny sounds kind of got me introduced to the sound. That was the point... Thanks guys and Happy Trails...Z

Thats a great haul in anybodies book! :surprised:

It's not your fault they were all pennies..:shrug:.could have just as easily been dimes? Great work!

i find a lot of pennies too. more than any other coin. no shortage of bullet casings either. ive found more casings than pull tabs. haha

Yes my pennies are like 68% of my finds. Some of the rings that I have found came in at the penny range. So really don't like to pass up a penny. I have 1363 of them so far this year. I can take my wife to Culver's on Sunday with those pennies.:thumbup: Thanks guys.....Z

Early last month i spent an hour at one of my local bus stops.
I had found well over one hundred pennies and less than 5 dollars. Thats kind of normal here. I think the high school stundents are lazy and throw the pennies at each other when waiting for the bus.

100=$1
700=$7
700 digs for $7
really?
lol

Yeah, it was probably me..... Lol!
Or maybe me.....???? I also quit digging those rotten zincs and leave em for the other guys ....lol

My mindset is every coin is Treasure. I dig them, but if I'm into a quarter patch, well they got to wait.

It is hard for me to pass up a penny signal. I now have 1895 pennies and they are 66.54% of my finds. Even when using the F70 I still dig the pennies. I am still getting used to the Compadre so I really don't know a coin signal from a junk signal. Chirps are starting to loose their appeal for me to dig. I think the compadre is trying to say pass on this one. I still dig and find I should have passed. I am using the Compadre almost all the time. Took the F70 out of the trunk and it is in the house. The compadre is fun to hunt with. I am using it on the beach, school, parks and fields. Of course I am digging a lot of pulltabs and caps. Thanks guys......Z

I know what you mean...lol I used my GSII for 22yrs and my style was "the more you dig-the more you find", hard habit to break I might add. I still dig about every COPPER penny I come acrossed if my time isn't limited and I save the coppers. Now I'm older and only have so many bend-over-digs left in a day so I try and save my digging for the deeper stuff. Half the zinckers I dug are rotten and end up in the trash anyways so I just quit digging them.

It's YOUR hobby....dig what you like and ENJOY!!!!!!!!

Good job on the pennies. When the armored cars roll over by me they are full of pulltabs!
