ATX tested with the BIG 20" coil in HOT Australian ground

Hi guys,

Have you seen this video? Something that many of us wanted to see. So, here it is and what a beauty!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcFmnScA-6c

Hi kiwited,

With the 20" coil it is all about one thing. BIG nuggets down DEEP. Unfortunatelly not many ATX prospectors have 5 or 10 oz nuggets around in their house, so Warren from NTExplorers substituted it with a chunk of lead which in most cases detects similar to gold. Such test is quite meaningful and the only one I know of that has been performed to this date. Certainly better than no test at all. BUT, be patient, because Bearkat is getting the 20" coil from Garrett and when he gets it, he wants to test it no doubt with his 5.4 oz GOLD nugget. I am looking forward to it and so are the other guys.

Cheers

Jerry

Hey Jerry...

I saw Warrens test with the big mono and was quite impressed! I was surprised how well it performed
I agree that the test was meaningful as lead is often used as an indicator when gold is not available....

Thanks for posting the vid so others can see Warren's big mono test...

Cheers,

Tye

Hi Tye,

I too was extremely impressed with the 20" coil performance. The signal was so strong and repeatable - I was so happy!

Sometimes I find articles or videos on the net that don't seem to make it to this forum, or at least not right away. So I grab the link and post it here for everyone to see. It is pretty indicative from my TEXT that I don't pretend to make the video myself. In this case Warren even introduced himself. Sometimes somebody overlooks my TEXT but most people can see that I'm just posting a link.

BTW, are you getting the Deepseaker package? That bloody big coil is slowing down the delivery. They seem to be a bit slow manufacturing them. I am dying to get my ATX, but nothing can be done to speed it up but be patient.

Cheers

Jerry

I am very keenly awaiting my ATX deep!

I will take it to areas that have been well and truly thrashed by other detectors, and find gold, as well as trying to find that unexplored virgin patch!

Roll on delivery!

Ted

Hey Jerry ...

At first I was just thinking about the standard package.. But after Warrens vid ... I'm on to the Deepseeker package like you.
I was surprise how deep it was detecting that lead....
I talked to my dealer and he thought they should be shipping before Christmas...
At least you will have some warm weather ..when you get yours! :clapping
And you must tell us all how it goes in that red hot soil !!

Cheers Jerry,

Tye

Garrett tells me they will start shipping en mass the Deep Pack starting in January, that right now they are focused on getting out as many Standard Packs as possible.

BK

BK....

Thanks for the info...
I need to contact Mash as they offered me a great price on the standard package and hopefully they will on the Deepseeker.

Cheers,

Tye

Hi Tye,

Yes, after seeing that 20" coil Warren's video, the Deepseeker package becomes a "MUST HAVE"!

A littlebit disappointed after reading BK's message. It looks like no Deepseeker for Christmas. Well, something to look forward to, anyway.

After all what we have seen and heard from people who are already using the ATX so far, the price - even for the Deepseeker is a bargain. I don't care what anybody says.

Cheers

Jerry

Hi Jerry,

I feel the same way.....I'm going to put my order in as soon as I get the word that the DS has started shipping.
I read some comments on one of the Oz forums about how BK was leading us down the wrong road etc. just to sell us
unsuspecting buyers crappy ATXes....they were some pretty funny guys...so I got a kick out of it....even though
The reasons they were giving didn't make a whole lot of sense...

Cheers Jerry,

Tye

Hi Tye,

As you already know, I am Australian, but I no longer read any stuff on the Aussie forum. It could make me sick. In fact it DOES make me sick. I'm not blind or deaf and I can form my own opinion after seeing BK's and Warren's videos and reading what some ATX owners have to say. Personally I think that what really hurts some of the ML owners is that there is a new machine on the scene, not so much different in performance to their GPX, but it costs SO MUCH LESS than what they spent on their King. So, they try to justify that huge cost difference by rubbishing the ATX or downgrading it to some "mid range PI machine", when in fact it has proven to be a high end machine just like their GPX. And there is this other thing. How can anybody criticize or try to evaluate ANYTHING without even owning it or putting his hands on it? Reading what you say above, they show their mentality by even resorting to calling it "crappy ATXes". They're a weird mob!

Cheers Tye

I couldn't have said it better Jerry!

In fact you stated it so well .. That a link to your comment above was posted on Ausralian electronic prospecting with agreement to your sentiment.
There must be free thinkers everywhere...:clapping: Like us several of the guys there were also impressed with the large coil video.
Even if the ATX doesn't go quite as deep on larger nuggets....It's obvious that it's the best all around prospecting machine for me...

I do own a GPX 5000....but no longer think it has any reason to be in my ownership and will be sending it down the road....to anyone interested..

My AT Gold will have a new buddy!

Cheers Jerry!

Tye

Thanks Tye,

I think that in time there will be many new ATX owners, even among my countrymen Australians. Just remember, in the beginning there were many people very doubtful about the ATX performance on sub-gram gold especially with a DD coil.

NOT ANYMORE!

It might take a bit of time but the truth and facts will prevail. And as you say Tye, it's a best all around prospecting machine for you ...AND me ...and I'm sure for many others as well.

BTW, if the ATX did not come into existence, I would have most definitely bought the GPX 5000. For me the timing of the ATX pre-order offer was perfect. Had I bought the GPX and found out all the facts about the ATX later on, I wouldn't have been able to resist purchasing the ATX as well. This way I have saved a lot of money!

Cheers Tye

Hi Jerry and Tye
I have been following the since the release of the ATX deep seeker package way back in September and decided to order it in November. It arrives today. I have enjoyed the videos, comments and advice in this forum. Some have been helpful and some not so. In the end I came to the decision to buy the ATX and not the GPX. I have only been detecting for 2 years and I think spending the amount of money on a GPX I just couldn't justify for my hobby. I don't really care if it is better than the GPX, I just wanted a good detector I could pick up and go (almost). It's good to see Garrett finally releasing the training videos for the ATX but why just release part one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-La6xy5jV88[/url]
Thanks for all the help
Joe
