Is it normal for the Explorer to give a high fluty tone while giving a reading of ten on the metre? The detector is an XS, and it is set up on standard factory presets.
This was only one reading of quite a few mismatched visual/audio readings that I've been getting and this is after numerous sweeps past the target, even after resting the detector to the side of the target to allow it time to reset itself and then going back over the target again.
I've also found that both the digital and smart screen can remain blank for 15 to 20 seconds after I have switched screens. It doesn't do it all the time, but often enough to be of concern.
