August meeting.... Pot Luck..... Glen Oak Park

will be at the pavilion at Glen Oak Park, 6 PM, August 31st. NOTE: the change of time is 6PM to give us a little more "light time" for the FOM contest and good eats. The club will be providing the main course and some drinks, usually pop and water and the paper plates and condiments. ( You should have the paper/plastic products Dennis) Please bring a dish to share.

A rain shower would not be a problem at the pavilion but if severe weather is forecast for that night we still have the option to meet at the North Library. I look for a big crowd again this year with plenty of good eats and we should have some nice displays as well with the nice weather we have been having the past two weeks. See ya there.

Just wanted to bring this back to the top for the meeting next week.



Our silver hunt is coming up Sept 10th, maybe the hunt Chair can post information about the hunt, except location please. The biggest change is the entry fee was increased from $25 to $50 this year due to the high cost of silver, but members from last year should have plenty of credits to reduce the fee to under $15 or less. I will explain how this works at the next meeting for newer members that have joined since the last silver hunt. The full entry fee is still very fair considering that again this year the total for silver and prizes will be well over $1200 and climbing. Be sure to make it to the next meeting for all of the details.
