Back in the iron again tonight different site

CT Todd

Well-known member
Tonight after work I went to a pounded site that I knew had an area that was wall to wall iron. I have hunted this old schoolhouse before with the ctx and done well but tons of iron.
So I walked in with a plan. Crank up the reactivity and dig the repeatable high tones. It paid off nicely. Complete Pocket Watch Drape bust 1800 suspender clip and a colonial button.
Deus is the right tool in a tough tough spot to hunt. HH

Nice finds! Is the deus better in masking situations than the CTX?

The Deus is much faster than the ctx that's the difference in iron infested areas.

Well done !

As Todd said, there is nothing out there that handles the iron infested sites better than the Deus at higher reactivity settings. It was designed in Europe where they have 1,000's of years of metal in the ground and being able to pull keepers from these sites is the key.

The combination of the CTX 3030 and Deus is a tough one to beat and it is rare that I head out without both in the truck.

Looking forward to the Bootcamp in Wilkes-Barre where Todd will be co-instructing . . . always pick up a few pointers myself when I spend time with him.

Nice finds . That's my favorite kind of hunting with the deus.
