Back to a old site did well at depth.

I went back to a homesite that I’ve been to a few times over the years. The site is heavy iron and tough to get targets anymore. This past year it was planted with soybeans so after the harvest the field is flat as a pancake. Advantage being you can get your coil right on the surface of the ground. Not having to give away 2-3 inches above the dirt is key for deep targets. I knew going in that it would be tough as it’s been well hunted by others as well as me. I was hunting for whispers as I call it. Just any repeatable positive target. I dug a lot of iron and trash but also a couple of keepers.
The button was a gimme @ 4” the 1/2 Reale was tough and buzzed iron at 9” and the shoe buckle also was buzzing iron at a measured 13 1/2 inches.

When good targets get really deep the iron buzz sound comes in even when there isn’t iron present. All you can do is think about the site you’re on, the sound it makes, the size of the target and in the end you dig it. You will dig a bunch of crap but also be rewarded here and there.

I was running my program from Andy’s book

You will like the short video at the back of the truck playing the don’t break the ice game.

Get out there guys

Nice digs Brother!! If you dug the buckle here you would have to actually melt the ice 7 degrees tonite. About time you get some Spanish, congrats!!
