Went back to the old acadian and found some more neat things. The photos show a pin fire cartridge that has writing on it (a "B" and at the bottom a faded out "16") and I guess the inards are intact. Then there's the Rabbit Foot button and several round musket balls. What amazed me was that the ETrac located the smallest flat button I've ever seen. It's pictured next to a 1920 D penny I found. The flat button was approximately 7" down and smaller than a Half dime! I was using the Ferrous program mentioned earlier on this site. What a great program. Now I have to go over the entire property again. I also found the normal camp lead (one was flatted approximately 3" in diameter and rolled up like a pencil - 2nd or 3rd I found like that), a civil war era bullet, many fired shotgun shell casings, some odd pieces of cut brass, 3 clad coins and only 2 square nails this time even though I could have dug hundreds.
