Back to the Honey Hole

I went out again after work for a couple hours. I put on my big coil again and turned the sensitivity to max. The soil is sandy so it worked without a problem. I searched for about an hour not finding anything noteworthy. Copper wire, metal button, brass nuts, put tab, etc.

Then I went back to an area I had searched before. The area where I found the 44 merc and 36 buffalo. I swept over a hole that had already been filled in. I can't remember for sure if it was mine, but it was in the same general area. I got a few good chirps and narrowed in on it. I was thinking, maybe something was left behind. After digging down about 8 or 9 inches I used my X-1 to isolate the signal. A couple more hand fulls of sandy loam and out it came. A 1956 Rosie in very nice condition. So far I haven't found more than one decent coin per hunt, but I'll take em any way I can get em.

Great looking dime, way to listen for that deep signal!
Thanks for posting,
Bunker

I would take one decent coint per hunt any day. Nice find. -- Randy

I don't mean I find a decent coin every time I go out, I just mean I have never found more than one on any given hunt. Some people come home with a handful of goodies but I'm not there yet so I'll take what I can get.

Thanks for the pictures Joe. I keep the overall buttons too. I think they're pretty neat.

NebTrac

I liked that video Nebtrac.

When the ETrac signaled on 13-46 I was saying out loud "It's a silver dime, it's a silver dime!"

My wife was like, "who are you talking to?"

I said "Just thinking out loud, nothing, never mind"

Sure enough, it was a silver merc.

Very nice.
