Bayonet tip? They were mostly triangular blades.

That surely may be a bayonet tip, looks like you had a great day. I found one shot 3 ringer today and was happy as a lark. Great digs!!
 
Finding that Old Lead and other Old Items like those makes for a great day of detecting, no matter how much you may find. That is some great finds there and hope they continue. Good Luck and HH.:thumbup:
 
Especially when the history is documented. Digging all that history is one heck of a rush, especially when its Civil War Memorbilia. You know that your the only one that has touched it since that fatefull day and it can be displayed and looked at in memory of those that fought way back then in what they believed in and also wonder what it must have been like at that moment in time when it was life or death situations. When you find a piece of history and hold it in your hand there is an instant connection with the person on the other end of that span in time...That is a great feeling.
